Responsible for the overall execution and management of painting & coating activities and closure of findings from piping, structural and other static equipment inspections. Based onshore, this position acts as the technical authority and planning focal point for coatings/painting while serving as the interface engineer to the Technical team for broader asset integrity (structural, piping, topsides, and marine structures). Leads the planning and execution of coating programs vessel, piping and structural repairs and coordinates other cross-discipline integrity activities to ensure safe, compliant, and optimized maintenance of the FPSO in the assigned area. Coordinates and leads subcontracted teams mobilized offshore and aligns with asset integrity engineering, inspection, and operations. Ensures all works are executed safely, within quality standards, budget, and schedule, and in accordance with international standards and company management systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:We are looking for a professional to work as Painting & Asset Integrity Engineer in an Onshore opportunity:
The selected professionals will perform activities such as:
- Develop, align and maintain the annual painting program and repair plan for structures, piping, etc. based on the follow-ups from inspections and Technical team recommendations. Integrate it into the Integrity Plan, including monthly execution plans, progress monitoring, and risk-based prioritization.
- Define technical scopes of work, man-hours and material/ equipment/ tools estimates, and schedules that bundle coatings with structural repairs, pipework remediation, and access solutions (e.g., scaffolding/rope access) to maximize efficiency and minimize SIMOPS risk.
- Provide technical input to Supply Chain during pre-qualification, bidding, technical evaluations, and post-award kick-offs for painting and repair contractors.
- Plan and coordinate all painting and mentioned repair jobs, ensuring that the performer works safely and productively.
- Enforce QA/QC requirements, acceptance criteria, and submittals for coating and integrity work packs. Review, verify, and approve inspection and testing reports related to painting and repair activities submitted by contractors or vendors.
- Coordinate with IAP/Logistics the embarkation and disembarkation of manpower, unloading of materials, tools and equipment from suppliers needed to perform painting and repair activities onboard.
- Provide technical support to all Tiers by resolving issues or doubts, as for example, by responding to each MOCs, TQs or performing RCAs and safety studies recommendations upon request.
- Check daily reports and measurement bulletins; evaluate supplier performance via defined KPIs (e.g., plan compliance, rework, DFT pass rate, defect recurrence, HSE metrics).
- Prepare weekly/monthly dashboards covering painting progress, integrity actions closed, backlog status, deferrals, and budget adherence; present to Asset/Technical leadership.
- Support the MOG’s expenses and investments budget planning, by providing information based on previous experiences, activity history, technical knowledge, and best practices of the market and by mapping risks to support management decisions.
REQUIREMENTS:- Bachelor’s degree of Engineering is required.
- Postgraduation in areas related to the discipline of expertise is a competitive edge.
- MBA or equivalent is a competitive edge.
- Required: NACE Coating Inspector Level 2 (or FROSIO Red/Blue equivalent).
- Preferred: NACE Level 3, FROSIO Level III, SSPC certifications, or equivalent international accreditations.
