Responsible for supervising or executing maintenance and operation of all Engine Room equipment and systems under the direction of the Maintenance Superintendent and to be proactive, in order to maintain a high standard of maintenance and operation, so that they are carried out technically efficiently, in compliance with schedules, MODEC procedures, maintenance philosophy, national and international regulations and standards, in order to contribute so that all equipment and systems are operational and preserved for the assigned unit
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Modec is looking for a professional to work as Engine Room Supervisor in an Offshore opportunity.
To develop activities such as:
- Assist, coordinate and carry out maintenance activities so as to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of all plant and machinery, and all instrument / control systems under Maintenance Supervisor / Superintendent guidelines;
- Perform regular rounds, check areas of machinery and all equipment on engine room, main deck / topsides, repair any defects and report (Root Cause Analysis) as required. Assist in other tasks as requested by the Maintenance Superintendent;
- Ensure proper watch keeping and monitoring of all equipment and rapid response to alarms and shutdowns of equipment;
- Supervise oiler / roustabout, and other team members when carrying out maintenance activities, including machinery and equipment related to the Maintenance and Catering Departments, and emergency equipment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Maritime Institute degree
- Previous experience with tankers of FPSOs is expected
- Previous experience in a leadership position
- STCW III/2 Chief Engineer
- Advanced English
- Mobility to rotation to Singapore during construction phase
