Responsible for all onboard lifting, rigging, slinging, storage, housekeeping and deck operations that are carried out safely and effectively by his team, as well as for marine deck activities and maintenance as instructed by Cargo Technician and/ or Cargo Supervisor, in compliance with MODEC procedures, national and international regulations and standards.
RESPONSABILITIES
Organize and supervise deck work and maintenance, including but not limited to offloading, supply boat operations, cargo handling, cargo and ballasting operations, crude oil washing, tank cleaning, and all associated maintenance of cargo and ballast equipment, ensuring that planned deck work is carried out as instructed, guaranteeing their safety and compliance with internal and external procedures and regulations, as well as that all deck equipment, tools, stores, and workshops are in good order.
Check and keep record of life saving safety equipment, support in preventive maintenance execution, as well as participate the 3rd party maintenances.
To participate for effective mooring/unmooring operation for offload, as a direct deck crew member under guidance of Cargo Supervisor and Marine Superintendent and Cargo Technician.
