Responsible for executing mechanical maintenance of all Topside equipment and systems, also for supporting the maintenance of equipment in the engine room, pump room and marine systems, in order to maintain a high standard of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance, so that they are carried out efficiently, in compliance with schedules, MODEC procedures, maintenance philosophy, national and international regulations and standards, in order to contribute so that all equipment and systems are operational and preserved for the assigned unit.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- We are looking for professional to work as Mechanical Technician in an Offshore opportunity on UARU project such as:
- Carry out maintenance activities, including machinery and equipment related to the Operations and Catering Departments, and emergency equipment. Ensure the safe and efficient functioning of all plant and machinery;
- Align and couple rotating machines and drivers. Assist and carry out maintenance activities so as to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of all plant and machinery, including motors, compressors, pumps, purifiers and generators;
- Welding, cutting, grinding and use of gas torch / lathe machine and power pneumatic tools is a mandatory requirement;
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble machine parts; repairing and/or substituting pieces damaged or worn;
- Effect the repair of plant and machinery after failure;
- Ensure that instructions given by the Maintenance Supervisor / Superintendent are executed and that they are kept informed of progress in all work, including the status of spare parts, stores and consumables, and repairs;
- Ensure that all the equipment used, workshops, work areas, are always maintained in a clean and tidy condition;
- Strictly adhere and implement the Permit to Work (PTW) system, including isolation and de-isolation, inhibit certificates and long-term isolation procedures in line with MODEC procedures;
- Implement Amos work order routines and report all work orders / history on a timely basis, update consumption of spares and consumables and future requirements to the Maintenance Supervisor / Superintendent.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Technical Degree (Mechanical Technician)
- Previous experience in cooling system (compressors)
